Loviza got her first pony when she was 4-5 years old, but her great interest was only sparked a few years later when, at the age of 9, she started riding a fantastic pony. In connection with that, her competition career began.
Now Loviza has a solid track record from major competitions that she has participated in both in Sweden such as SM, LGCT and Falsterbo but also abroad as she has represented Sweden in championships such as the Nations Cup and the Nordic Championships. Last summer Loviza took both gold and silver in the impact SM as well as bronze at the outdoor SM and now this year silver with the Swedish team at the NM.
According to Lovisa, the main difference with competing abroad is that you represent Sweden as a nation, which entails higher demands on the rider and many rules to follow. It is important to be a role model both in all horse handling and in how to deal with adversity and stand up as a teammate. A rule of thumb is not to be disappointed by a setback for more than 10 minutes. Something that can be tough when you have been preparing for a big competition for a long time, with great expectations and hopes, if things don't go your way.
The competitions abroad are also much tougher, the courses are more difficult and the fences are significantly greater. Loviza especially remembers a competition for pony 130cm where a large wall was measured to 140cm. She thinks it is a fantastic experience to have with her which has developed her as a rider.
Her favorite competition venue for outdoor competition is Compiegne in France. There are fantastic outdoor riding opportunities for the competitors and the proximity to Paris means that you can combine the competition with city visits.
Going forward, Loviza will invest fully in her two horses and leave the pony days behind. Her goal is to ride NM and Scandinavium as a junior. We look forward to following this talented rider in her future competitions.
